    Victory Lane

She really didn't know where she was!
All she knew was it was out of the direct sun, and some nice man let her park there ...

I helped Angie into a good spot, just past the end of the photographers' cordon, and wheels on the raised pavement of victory lane.

Then after the celebrations when they started throwing stuff to the crowd, I caught a Gatorade for her, it was hot and sticky in the sun - even the evening sun just before sunset.
    Yes, she did share

    Re: Victory Lane

Several people were kicked out after running in, touching the car, trying to pose for photos etc and getting in people's way.
Angie asked security and the tech if it was OK first, then I wheeled her round and got a few shots.

You'd never, ever, get access like this at a F1 race as a fan.
Yet for Indy you can buy the tickets, it's great for the race fans.

    Re: Victory Lane

    She loved it.
She even managed to shout above the press scrum to Dario, who saw her, made a double-take, and waved!
Then she turned to the photographer who'd crammed himself in next to here chair, and said he'd never hear her and said "told you so". She knows the Franchittis from other race series and I think Dario was very surprised to see her
