Red face Vegas 'Guy With Camera' (GWC) Situation

... funny blog post from a pro photog about 'volunteer' photographers and
    street performers in Vegas...

" As I began to pack my gear, our volunteer photographer stood right
in front of me giving me an evil eye. Without getting into a long
story as to our conversation, he told me how I was intruding on his
"shift" (his exact words). He began to yell at me that I was stealing
his customers and that it was his ‘shift" to work out there. "

Great article, thanks for the link.

I was in Vegas about 2 months ago and noticed these people trolling around. They are super, SUPER pushy and really do a good job of making people uncomfortable. Worst part is they have no idea what they're doing.

Wow... I'm not sure I would have been able to keep a straight face, I probably would have just started laughing. Living in the midwest, I've yet to run into any photographic issues. Actually the only problem I've ever run into was in Washington DC in front of the White House.... I guess you can't use a tripod on the sidewalk, but in the street is OK... lol :mad2:
