    very interestign PS skills

came across this site http://www.rapidnet.com/~rernster/ VERY "interesting"
"I was not trying to be shocking, or to be a pioneer.
I wasn't trying to change society, or to be ahead of my time.
I didn't think of myself as liberated, and I don't believe that I did anything important.
I was just myself. I didn't know any other way to be, or any other way to live."

Can he/she do that? I mean with the pics of the celebrities? I'm assuming if they are trying to make some $ off of this, they didn't take those originals.

And the woman in the yellow dress doesn't really seem like she's enjoying the party

I can't believe a person can acutally make money doing that. None of what I saw looked good. Given a little time, I could probably do that and I don't even have any PS skills beyond adjusting cololrs and levels.

Very lame if you ask me...

The "services" listed on this person's site are simply a very basic repertoire of ps skills any self-respecting digital retoucher would have.

And yes, I agree that (IMO) this person isn't very good at it...

As for celebrities, the only images they would be able to market (legally) would be either public domain stuff or stock that they had bought licensing rights to. My guess is public domain...

I'll agree with you Nat. This person should put up a 'how to' instead of marketing themselves to do it for the client.

I don't know why, but for some reason I feel a lot more confident in my Photoshop skills.

Wow. I missed the rolling eyes and thought you were serious. Jeepers. It's like they are trying to be funny -- kinda like those "How to spot counterfeit Mini Cooper" ads you see.

I don't get the impression that the site is parody, if that's what you mean. I think the site creators are very serious about offering those services for money, just not very good at doing it...
