    An update...

    Well,

If you haven't noticed, I've been posting in bunches as of late. I'm currently in Calgary, working on my field placement at the Calgary Public Safety Communications Centre. I just had a polygraph yesterday in my application process so it seems that I'm days away from being offered a job with them. Definitely would be a huge change for me, as I'd be forced to move again and start all over. We'll see what happens, but if I don't start posting for a while, you guys will know why.

    Wish me luck,

    Jared

Good luck Jared!! Wish you all the best.

A polygraph? What was that like? Did those improve over the years or is the same old ones we see in TV shows, etc? lol. That's quite funny actually. I'd be nervous strapped to one of those even if I didn't do anything wrong.

    Liz,

Thanks! I appreciate it. It definitely has been a crazy few weeks and I'm glad I was able to head out of town for relaxation this week.

    Liban,

It was nervewracking. It's nothing like what you see on television or movies, all digitalized now on a laptop and, supposedly, much more precise readings. I was very nervous, but the Detective assured me that everything is relative, so even if I have a racing heart and quick breathing, if I lied (or didn't tell the truth) my heart would race even more and breath even quicker.

It's quite the science....do I believe all of it? Not really.
