Boy I haven't posted a picture here in a long time

Here are two from last summer, both with the 19mm fisheye on my Mamiya.

ah...i wasn't even looking at that one...I'll run a test tomorrow or just go ahead and give it a blow. Doesn't show on the unedited ones so think it might have something to do with that. Might have done an extra click when i was cloning the tree line.

It really is fun to use. I can't believe how saturated the sky looks in nearly every picture with that lens.

Without the 12-24 I would have never been able to get this group shot. I was up against the wall and the 12-24 set at 15mm still gave me working room.

Well, I just shot a bunch of stuff for our "Grad-Tab", a mini-issue that we put in in April to recap stuff for Seniors and features a bunch of places around campus that the graduates might want to take their graduation pictures at. I shot it all with the Nikon 14-24mm on the D3, so I think that qualifies as ultrawide

All of these are shot at 14-15mm, f/11-16.

OT - great shot - nice use of the 12-24. BTW, was this available light? More encouragement for me. Tomorrow the sun is supposed to come out for the first time in a while - very gray day today so I'm going to work hard to get some time off tomorrow. I have a date with the Tokina.

Thanks you Liz. I shot this for a summer Reading Festival billboard. I had great available light coming from the front and the right of the subjects, but I did supplement with fill from the SB800 with Gary Fong tubberware attached.

Did someone say ultra-wide? With the exception of the last one, these were all taken at 14mm with the 14-24/2.8; some with the D300 but most with the D700. I use my 24-70/2.8 as my everyday lens with Full Frame, so sadly the 14-24mm has been relegated to specialty use. L.A. River. Same day ... Different part of the L.A. River on a different day. Angels Gate Park in San Pedro. Saddle Peak Road in the SM Mountains. Soda Lake. Soda Lake. On the Big Island in Hawai'i. Same island, different day Harbor Freeway in Downtown.
