For some reason this strikes me as like a scene from Alice in Wonderland!

Hmm, not a dormouse, or mad hatter, cheshire cat, or Alice in sight: )

But Alison had a lovely picture of Trinny and she'd be great in my place wearing that dress in the "dress up" photo.

I think someone might need to seek some professional help. I would have to get a cart to pull with all that gear! I complain when I have to lug along a spare lens and flash.

I reckon you need an assistant
My gear currently weighs about 40lb it's heavy but manageable.
Three bodies, 5 lenses, two flashes, tubes, 2x converter, stuff (softbox, batteries, velcro).
I left the tripod and monopod behind, regretted leaving the tripod.
Had the little travel tripod though. Worked well for Mike

    Hi chaps,

Been without broadband for the last 7 days - changed supplier, and had to rebuild the PC to cure a crashing problem.

Yes I did take pics of the windows but not processed them yet, need to check what's left from that weekend.

I did something really stupid on Sunday 'I went and bought some tubes' Been playing with them instead of processing photo's .

Will get back to processing tonight - promise.

Alison - don't let Paul lend you his tubes or me now for that matter - it is very addictive:cryin: .

Yes, I know. I bought some tubes ages ago, a cheap set from Ebay and loved what I saw but I don't think they were very good. I am longing for either a kenko set or canon set.
    Which tubes did you buy?

I just bought a cheap set from Jessop's after Paul's advice.

Since there are no lenses in them it matters not, as long as the conections are right for the camera.

I'll get round to processing tonight and post some of what I have so far. It been difficult since Sunday as the wind outside is causing mayhem with focusing.

But when shooting with tubes don't you have to have your f number around 22? I have heard that somewhere.

    Alison,

I used from F5.6 on the 100-400mm to F16 with no great increase in DOF so not sure it matters a huge amount. DOF is still very small.

That's equivalent to saying "if you buy a macro lens, you must always use the smallest aperture". Not very good advice. The DOF need not be the maximum all the time (even with macros). Just focus on the most important part - the eyes/brain will blur out the rest anyway. Besides, stopping down just moderately will make the background profoundly different and often greatly distracting - even if the actual DOF grows nearly imperceptively.

Roger, Mike, Paul - thanks for sharing all your images. I enjoyed them all.

You have made me so proud to be an owner of the K10D...These are terrific shots, My favorites are the church;s view from the pulpit, the pond with the reflection of the tree and train track, but they all are great. England's countryside is beautiful.
