    Twin Towns

    Hi all

I was walking around my own town yesterday looking for urban art. I came across these - they were painted quite high up which made them a wee bit difficult to photograph (but at least prevented them being painted over). They celebrate my town's (Sutton) links with four other towns across Europe.

The first is Sutton, the others being our "twin towns" (as they're called). I thought they were rather nice.

    Cheers
    Mike

    Good shots, Mike.
Did you adjust perspective to get them to appear flat?
I ask because they don't look like they were taken from a low vantage point though I do suppose you might carry a tall ladder around with you.

    I was wondering the same.

Just a little bit. I am posting the original of the Sutton one .. I had to take it from the right as a tree would have intruded on it if I had photographed it head on (you can just see part of the tree bottom left). The others were similar. I used a 28-200 Pentax lens.

And they say editing is for people who can't get it right. Ha!
You ended up with some sharp, colorful, bright pics by cropping, adjusting perspective, and brightening them up when, otherwise, there would never be good conditions for these shots.

Mike you did a fantastic job on the originals in order to present them as you have here. Sutton has lots of twins.
