A trip to the Tar Pits

    Hi Folks...
Yesterday, I took a trip to the La Brea Tar pits...Grabbed my son and Camera and was off...Through out the park there are many places where tar is literally seeping through the grass..Today they are still exploring it... For more info click on link..If in the area, to walk the grounds is free and the museum is only 7 bucks for adults and 2 bucks for kids...Great place to shoot and lots to see...

    Thanks for looking.

Wow!! I've heard of this place all my life. I think I first saw something about it on the old Walt Disney Show. I loved your tour. Thanks for taking us along. Didn't know there was museum there, I just thought there was a fence around a tar pit.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

There wasn't that much there when I was there in 1954. Well there was tar and bones but not the museum.

Hey folks, Thanks for looking. I was surprised to hear they added a museum as well.
I heard yesterday, there are three museums and I missed two of them. I guess this means I am going back

History channel mentioned them in their 10,000 b.c. show last night.
Most of what they find are carnivores/scavengers that came to take advantage of mamoths, horses, sloths, etc. that had been caught. Quite interesting.
