    A trip to the orchard

The wife and I took a trip to apple orchard country today. It's a fall tradition in these parts to go to the orchard when the weather starts to get cooler. I took the camera with me, but it never left the car until we got home.

Not for you, but for the orchards, I mean. We're running low on apples here in Florida!

    Nice pics...

    Michael,

Oustanding photos, I really like the colours and the composition.

    Hey! We have that bucket!

Nice shots...I'm hoping to get to an orchard as well this fall. Believe it or not, I know how to make apple butter and pear jam. Unfortunately, we got like 4 pears on our tree this year.

Love that second one. A trip to the orchard is always on our schedule in the fall. Little early for us though, October is more like it here for the apples. By the way they look delicious.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

Re: A trip to the orchard

Thanks everyone. The trip to the orchard was a little early for us this year too, but with the weather we had all week and weekend, it sure felt like October. I would like to make another trip to this area once the leaves turn colors. I love fall!

If anyone is wondering, these are Honey Crisp apples. These are our favorites and they are usually pretty expensive. One of the orchards we went to had a crate of 2nds they were selling for 95 cents/pound. We should have bought a lot more than what we did.
