I spent a few hours taking pics of these bikes individually as they showed up to the bike show. I like to think I got some really good shots, HONEST, but my cf card decided to go mammaries skyward. :-\
I had some great pics (I think) of that Ducati in the background on that card.
I have no idea how this kid got a Cali tag on this ... vehicle, but he had one. It had a Turbo engine with no catalytic converters and a small amount of camber. This was at a drifting event at Willow Springs that happened to be going on while I was at an AHRMA vintage motorcycle race.
Love the mid 50s pickups. Had a 56 chevy 1100 once but sold it for a dime because the springs were shot...still have dreams in which it plays a role and I'm a Ford man.
I recognize the emblem on your last one but my mind can't find the connection.

The Hemmings Motor News 2012 Great Race from Traverse City, MI to Dearborn, MI made a scheduled, over night stop in Kanata, Ontario. It just happened to be the same night as our regular Tuesday cruise night, and presented quite a few photo opportunities. As usual I shot a zillion pics for 10 keepers !!
Here's a few - enjoy !!

Here is something I caught purely by chance.... It may fit.... this thread.....
This is an example of something that's really been bothering me. I can't even remotely begin to show how deep the brown is on this thing without turning the bright background into an eye-piercing snowfield. I'd really rather fix this in my shooting than in 'shopping, but I've no idea.

Tough light..It's not your fault...... I know of that vintage Yamaha color you speak of...It's unique for sure... Still, quite nicely exposed...IMHO.
