    There oughta be a law...

against people who can't keep their shorts up at the beach (#1)!

On the brighter side I did manage to snap this charming beauty (#2), whom I claim as my wife, which more than made up for my sore eyes from the first picture. Used my Sigma 70-300 for this one.

#3 is a shot of some graffiti under the bridge of PCH 1 that runs up through Malibu. Just thought I'd shoot something different. Converted to b/w in ps.

All were taken at Topanga State Beach this evening in Malibu.

Oh my! I agree! #1 is scary!

    Your wife is very pretty!

#3 - using b&w really makes the lettering 'pop'. I like it!

I have to agree with the others. Reminds me of this 12 yr old playing football here in Australia compared with the normal sized 12 yr olds trying to tackle him, just think large and small for that comment. Many lbs to not so many pounds.

The second one is a nice shot, would have been better, if taken more from slightly above and having your wife turn her head a little to the right for less straight on shot, still taken as a grab shot maybe.

The third is excellent shot, conveys the grafetti well, would be nice to tone the lower right side glare a little but a bit hard to do in camera isn't it.

There ought to be a law! Number 1 is scary!

Number two - she is a beauty!

Number three - great shot. The B&W really does work for this one.

    cool shots Ray

    1) glad you took a crack at a candid --ha get it...

    2) lovely lady , pretty smile... did you pick her or did she pick you? ;)

    3) LOVE LOVE LOVE this shot...the arches are so classic and the graffiti is "classic" in a more modern less conventional way...pretty cool!

I thought you folks might get a kick out of that first shot. Thanks for the comments on all the photos, although on my work monitor my wife looks a bit more "red" than on my home monitor. I am surprised that the third shot is liked so much,I didn't think it would have that much appeal.

And Nat, you "crack" me up, heehee. And to answer your question, I'd have to say God picked us for each other. Maybe one day when we meet, Lord willing, I'll tell you the entire story of how Claudia and I met, then courted for marriage.

Kathy, knowing how much you like horses I thought I would include the following image. I can't remember the breed of horse the owner said these were, but she said the mother (pictured) and father passed on a gene and produced the lighter colored, blue-eyed colt. Check out the photo where momma is sticking her tongue out at me, hehe. The owner actually let me go into the stall with both of them (I don't normally get too close to horses, mind you, so it was a big step for me!).
