    Super Moon

Took these on Atlantic Beach. Very windy, and very chilly, but I stuck it out.

    Re: Super Moon

Hi Speed.............somehow I knew you would show up within a few days of the SuperMoon!

All three are really nice shots......I love that last one!

Thanks for sharing........Unfortunately I totally missed the actual date. However, the night after the moon was still extremely bright! I just happened to see it shining through my drapes, so I opened them up and I was quite surprised how bright it was even then - although it was not quite full.

ETA: I just took another look at your photos......now No. 2 is my favorite. They are so unique, really, to pick a favorite doesn't quite work.

Wow! I didn't really get to see it until after midnight...long past the prime for busting out the glass. Those are pretty cool.

Thank you for the comments Liz! I know what you mean about a favorite being so hard to pick. I'm still trying to pick one to tweak and make my signature "Super Moon" print. I don't know if I'm going to be able to do it.

I know a lot of folks didn't see it because of weather, but I was fortunate to have clear skies. I guess I was due. I try to alert everyone on PR about upcoming meteor showers, special full moons, eclipses, that sort of thing. And most of the ones I've posted lately I've missed due to inclement weather. This time I got my shot(s).

Thank you for the comments n8! (Nate?)

The best time for photographing it was on the horizon, but it was so bright it was sure to get your attention when you did notice it.
