    Smile Stopping in to say 'Hello'

    Hello everyone, my name is Trish. I currently reside in Puerto Rico (although I am from NC) and have claimed photography as my new found hobby. I am a beginner, working with a Kodak EasyShare C533 Point and Shoot camera.. although I am convinced that my wonderful husband is shelling out for a Nikon D90 or D60 for XMas (or atleast that better be where the $$ in our bank account went ). I just wanted to introduce myself. I have an untrained eye and my best models are my dogs and cat. So, many of you will probably find me in the critiquing section the most!

    Welcome and hope you like your new hobby.
    I've learned so much from the critique forum both by having my stuff critiqued and just as importantly by critiquing as it taught me to look.

    Welcome aboard hope you like what you see here at PR. The community has been a great help to me over the last few years. The best way to learn is to post a few pictures and get some feed back. I can promise your that the crits you get here will be positive and helpful.

    welcome to the forum! The critique section has helped me quite a bit and I'm sure it will help you too. you'll start to understand WHY you like certain images, and that's an enourmous help in composing your own shots. Hope to see some of your work soon

    I second what the others have said already – this is in my opinion the best photography-forums site out there. I have learned A LOT since I joined, and hopefully have also helped other members learn about photography too.

    Looking forward to seeing some of your work – feel free to post any of your images – after all, everyone has to start somewhere, and I assure you that all the critiques received will be friendly and constructive.:thumbsup:

    I think we're the only ones who live in Puerto Rico on this message board, I wasn't expecting anyone else from P.R. here haha.

    By the way, you live in Isabela, you have sooo many beautiful spots right next to you. I'll probably head up there this weekend for some surfing shots cause I just got a new lens.

    Yeah!! I just went last weekend to Jobos, Middles, Wilderness, Surfer's Beach and Crashboat for some shots that I am taking for an XMas gift to my sister. I am a surfer and as soon as I get my new camera (with a case for in water photography of course) I am getting on my board and heading out to take some really cool (hopefully) shots in the water!
