    Stevie the Watusi

    A big guy and horny. He's a steer so . . .

These were taken at the 2009 Farm Progress Show in Decatur, Illinois on September 2, 2009. Tommy Garland (Garland Ranch, etc)
is the owner of Stevie. There is another image of this character in the gallery

One of these photos was taken with a legacy M42 (Pentax Screw Mount) lens in full manual mode. Arghh, how did I ever manually focus and set the aperture and stop the lens down and take a photo in the 'Olden' days'????

You can click on each picture for the gallery version where which is the old lens and which is the new lens.

Watusi, it is a type of beef cattle that is supposed to be healthier as if fed properly will be leaner and lower in fat and cholesterol.

Any guesses on which is the legacy lens, and which is not? Or did you just check the gallery for the answer?

I'd guess the second one is the M42 mount because the EXIF doesn't know the shutter speed. I guess that really isn't a guess. - TF
