Some pics from my mtb ride last weekend...

This is in Mexico, from a place in the middle of the road where supposedly some Monarch butterflies stops in their sojourn to the south, to a town at a lake called 'Valle de Bravo'.

I took a Canon SD 700 to take the pictures. And it was a wonderfull day!

This photo was when we were unloading the bikes, I took a pic at the sky:

This is the "Nevado de Tolucan" volcano....

This is a photo of a valley after a little downhill run..

This is a shot of the same volcano after going through some trails...

Another shot at the sky with some trees...

I have no idea what this are called..

    It was getting later...

    And latter...

    That's it....

    Any feedback will be apreciated..

Thanks for those photos! Those are so cool. That's not at all what I picture when I think of Mexico. I know the mountains are there. But I never think of Mexico like that. I'm sure most people who live in the US are the same. I need to make a trip down there. I want to ride in those mountains!

Glad to see the camera is serving you well. I wish I could see some mountain bike photos, though

I was wondering at first why there were no mtb's and here they are heheh....

Aint nothing better than a great outdoors location, great photo weather and some company that appreciate the same things!

Those are some very cool shots that do contrast with the reality of the mountain-less area of the world i live in.... Dubai, UAE....just so you know!

I am envious....although they do say there is a mountainous region here somewhere....will post some pics if i find it

Thanks for posting the ride photos. That's a big group! I love the big pine trees. Looks a bit like the Lake Tahoe area in the Sierra Nevada, but with a lot more ground cover and way better dirt.

So many places to ride and so little time

Thanks! we were 33 riders! They were something like 5 guides and 28 riders! It was a wonderfull day!

I found out that I could turn off the AIAF using manual settings on the SD700, and I really liked that! I first tried turning it off, but kept it in AUTO mode, so I was using the wrong combination. Now it's more confortable. I really like to have some control of the focus point, and AIAIF doesn't let you do that.

Yeah, AIAF works pretty good. But you can count on it to not do what you want sometime when it really matters

I'm testing a Canon A640 right now and I went with the AIAF for a while, just to see how well it worked. It's actually really, really effective - most of the time. But I prefer using the center point as it's foolproof. It just won't let you down.

Interesting photos, great scenery! Nothing like the sound of a large group clipping into their pedals starting on a ride!

thanks for sharing your photos, rzozaya1969.
I like a lot of them, especially the one with the prickly flowers, the valley after the downhill run and the upward photo of only the sky and trees.

rzozaya1969 - those pictures are grrreat!!! I particularly like the first one of the volcano - fantastic. If it was mine, it would be a definite candidate for framing. Keep up the great work.
