    So, what's your 2010 calendar???

Hi all. I used to always post this thread as a fun way to begin the new year, but I think it's been a few years, so why don't we give it a go again???

I'd like to know what your 2010 calendar is. For those of you not completely anchored to smart phones and digital calendars and schedulers, I'm guessing you put at least a bit of thought into this.

I have two this year. My main wall calendar is The Princess Bride, which is (of course) one of my favorite movies. My small desk calendar, in keeping with my macho and tough-guy image, is shown below...

    Anyone else???

Not sure why we haven't got our free one from the propane company yet.
My wife would like your hello kitty one and I haven't see Princess Bride in a looong time but do like it.

Yeah, forgot about the one in our kitchen. in the past, that's always been the free one. But times are tough Frog, and no one around these parts gives out free calendars anymore...

our main one is vintage french posters. my youngest has sleeping puppies, the oldest has awake puppies.

we have two desk ones, the one in the oldest's bedroom is an "origami-a-day" and the one on my desk is "wild words from wild women"
    I sleep, but I don't rest.

Wow! I love the cover page to YOUR calendar Mike! It's beautiful! Do you have images on every page? Nice job.

Thanks Liz! Yes, I have a different image for every month. I started making my own calendars 5 years ago to give to my friends and family as Christmas gifts. I also sell a few of them locally. Here is a scan of the back cover showing all of the images.

Steve, strictly electronic using the one available through Google's gmail. I find I am more conscientious about keeping happenings and meetings up to date with this than a plain paper one. Also, I can print it out and keep a task list with task due dates as well. Should I choose, I can also share it with others.

    Cheers,

    Photo_calendar.xls

Mine is an Excel spreadsheet that I update regularly. It's boring, long (80 entries this year) but very useful. There is one line for each event where I usually do photos in the year, with:

    - Date (calculated from first Sunday - each year I just copy the previous year and reset the first Sunday)
    - Event name
    - Where it happens
    - Type of event (Interior, Parade, Sport, etc)
    - Lighting
    - Camera
    - Bag
    - Lenses to take with me
    - Flash
    - Starting ISO
    - Did I actually do it (Yes/no)
    - What did I learn? (i.e. the screw-ups, what not to do next year)

I never get to do every event but it's useful as a reminder.

I second that. I use Mozilla Thunderbird for email, and I have Google Calender synced up to the calender feature in Thunderbird. Works like a charm!

I haven't picked up any yet this year but plan to get at least one tomorrow. I will get a wall calendar and my gf a smaller one to carry in her purse from Tom Mangelsen. Then I will wait for my free ones from 97.9 The Loop and WDRV The Drive radio stations out of Chicago.

The theme of my calendar this year is scenic California and it was provided to me by my ink supplier.

    Good topic Steve.
