So, this is what they do with snow in the Northwest

yes, that's my wife Claudia crashing and burning and having a blast doing it.

A young couple that visits our church regularly invited us to come over their house and play in the snow with their kids. The kids were really fun to watch!

Hey Schrack! Nice shots! Love the lighting on that little one with the orange face mask! Hope you aren't getting hammered too hard by the snow!
Didn't realize you moved to Washington either!

Re: So, this is what they do with snow in the Northwest

Thanks everyone! Glad you had fun with the shots.

Jimmy, I like Vader a lot. It's a small town (600 people), very country-like, but only 3 miles away from the 5 freeway and 20 minutes away from two larger cities, so it's away from it all but close to everything.

Frog, yep, I figured if it's gonna snow we may as well make the best of it. It was better than staying in all day!

JETA, my wife was laughing uncontrollably the whole time, lol. I couldn't do it cuz my back has been hurting past couple days, but her expression says it all.

Villenadecorte, hey, Portland's only one hour south of us (in good weather). I'll even share below a Portland pic from about 5 or 6 weeks ago. Perhaps sometime next year we can organize a Northwest photogathering. Seems to be quite a few of us up here.

    Fun shots!

So that's what you do with snow in the Northwest?!

Here in the Midwest, we use that rig (replace the quad with a boat) and we call it tubing. Or, (replace both the rope and quad with a snow-covered hill) and we call it sledding

Although I have a neighbor who pulls the kids on a sled using his minivan.

So far there only have been a couple sliding accidents that have been bad. Most of them have been being towed by a vehicle, and into a non-moving object or sliding into a road and being hit by a vehicle.

So be careful and safe, and have fun. I hope the snow lasts through Christmas but that may not happen. We have not had snow on Christmas since 1951.

When we lived in Caribou, Maine -- EVERYONE rode snowmobiles, you have brought back some great memories for me of those times.

Thank you for sharing these FUN pictures -- they're wonderful!

    Blessings to you and Claudia,
