    Site Outage Notice

As I'm sure many of you noticed, the site was down for almost a day. I'm really sorry about that. We had a couple of major hardware failures, starting yesterday evening. Our IT guy was at our data center all day trying to get everything fixed. But we're back up and running! Hopefully it's all sorted out and everything will be stable. But if you notice any problems, please let us know by replying to this thread. The only issue I think we're still having is with the connection between the forums and gallery. In other words, photos uploaded from the forums aren't showing up right now. But that will get fixed.

Oh yeah - this outage had nothing to do with the new site design. That was just plain bad timing that the hardware failed a couple of days after we updated the forums and gallery design.

It must have been bad. At least one of the sister sites was also down. - Terry

It was really bad. Every part of every one of our sites was down. This was the worst outage I can remember for us for years.

Just curious - which one of our other sites do you use?

    RoadBike Review

Story: MB1 is a frequent poster of images on RBR and inspired my first DSLR purchase. The rest is (a very expensive) history.

    Wow - I didn't know that. Or I don't remember that I know that

I know MB1 is primarily an RBR user and I've been pleased to see him spending more time here lately. And I'm even more pleased that he recruited you because you're one of our most prolific contributors. I'm sorry about the hurt it's put on your wallet, though. For me, lately, it's been the other way around. The bikes have been siphoning money out of my bike account like crazy.

I've spent my share on bikes also. I'm a gear head in any hobby I choose. In bikes, it's been mostly the classics. Old campy parts, 50th Anniversary Paramount frames, stainless steel Waterford, lots of titanium, etc, etc. I keep saying that I'm going to get back into riding, but haven't so far. - Terry

You TOO? Small world. I've built a few bikes, (in another lifetime) and came real close to becoming a Light Speed dealer in my area. The bank manager was all for me getting the small business loan, but I chickened out.

Must be the bank manager didn't know how to spell Litespeed?

I think I have five LS frames, but none were bought new, plus several other Ti and steel frames. I think I'll start a thread for bikes. - Terry

You have some money wrapped up in those. Is Litespeed even still in business?
