    <Sigh> Here we go again...

Yesterday was t-shirt weather, tonight's temps will be in the 4 degree range, without windchill.

    He's back! No more slump...

Last night I wanted to get the remaining slush cleared off the driveway because of the upcoming weather (I live sorta-near Sebastian). Had to stop because of a thunderstorm! This is Northern Illinois, what a wierd year.

I drove to Madison in that thunderstorm. Not the most pleasant drive ever, but not the worst.

Great shot. Slump, my butt! You were just trying to generate interest in your next post! ;-)

We had a saying in Minot, North Dakota:

    "Why not Minot?"

    "Freezin's the reason."

I spent six years in Norht Dakota while in the Air Force. I saw it hit 100 above there before it did in North Carolina. I also saw it go to 38 below zero (amibient air temperature) and 102 below with wind chill.

I saw a coffee cup while in Minot that read :"-40 keeps out the riff-raff". Very true statement. I looked for one of those coffee cups, but never could find one. :-(

BTW, I did mention that I really like this shot?!!

Here in TN - today it was 74degrees - completely unusual for January in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains - tomorrow the high will be 39. Could someone just rip my sinuses out and stomp them on the ground - I think it would be better than what they're in for.

    Yay, I see Sebastian again!

I landed in Chicago yesterday and we drove home in rain, then fog, then thunderstorm. I agree, what a weird January!

That thunderstorm woke me up, it was so weird hearing rain pummel the windows in January.

Speed, so what do you think of the image? ;)

    Strange weather here also....

In Colorado, it's normal to have days in January that reach the 50's and 60's, followed by a few days of extreme cold weather. What's not normal, at least in the Denver metro area, is to have extreme dense fog, which we had for an entire day and night, followed by a quick snowstorm that dropped about 7 inches on snow (south metro) in 3 hours. We usually don't get alot of snow in January (March is by far our snowiest month, followed by I think November). It even rained here this month, which is VERY odd. No thunderstorm though, if that happened in January in Denver, that would blow my mind. The world would be coming to an end. ;)
