Today's High temp hovered around 0-F. Sunlight was warming the thermometer just enough to make some difference. This usually hangs in the garage but thought it appropriate to set out in the snow for a bit...

Wish I would've done this last night. It was 16 below with a windchill of 30 below!

I won't punish you guys with a photo of a thermometer from here, but I will tell this... we rode our bikes today in shorts and short sleeve jersey with only a thin base layer. It was nice!!!
This is where we're at tonight - and that doesn't include the wind chill factor.
brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, . . . gonna stay cold for the next few days !

Yesterday it was 40C at 3.00pm but 100 ks south and a thousand feet below our altitude, down on the plains of the Riverena ... it was 46C. The intense heat of the westerly wind before the sea breeze kicked in was shocking and affecting yesterday. When ever the sea breeze is late it is hot.
Here the current temperature is a balmy 26C with a relative humidity at a dessicating 15%.
Woke up to a steamy -16.6 this morning with a strong wind blowing Just had a brand new battery put in the car 3 weeks ago and still the car was VERY hesitant to start up. There's some crazy steam coming up off the ocean this morning. Too bad I'm stuck at work, would make for some cool pics.

Please do not edit my photos, thank you.
If you want something fun to do in the sub-zero temps, throw a pan of boiling water up into the air (away from you!). It makes a cool cloud and the water freezes before it hits the ground. Also, you can freeze bubbles.

Here is my contribution as I walked to work this morning about 8:30 AM.
