I'm with Rick! I also voted for the Ryman & civil war sites, but those were more of afterthoughts compaired to the other two.

I want downtown Nashville. I think that's the first one? I have a friend who lived there for a few years, I'm going to email her and ask what do I need to see.

I am a history buff, love music (not country though), and beer. Something about a Civil War battefield with the fog lifting, its been photographed a million times, but never by me.

    Re: show of hands

I picked the Smokies as at that time of year they are one of the most scenic places around.

Leaves, color dispersing haze, an occasional eagle or hawk floating over a lake or a color drenched valley at dawn is hard to beat. Also can be quite a trick to capture. And there are usually still bears about that time of year! I like bears. At the far end of really long lens!

Opryland can be a lot of fun even if, like me, you prefer the other type of music .

    Dwight Yokam it is!

I think we should all crash a live music bar with all of our cameras, backpacks and tripods. That would be a riot

I've unstuck this to keep the top of the Viewfinder uncluttered. If anyone wants to find it in the future, it will be in the Current Gatherings thread at the top of the Viewfinder.

    Re: show of hands

For what it's worth, things like the Ryman, Fort Nashborough and the Symphony Hall are all right downtown (Lower Broad). It wouldn't be a stretch at all to see all of these in an afternoon. You might not have time to actually tour the Ryman, but you could definitely see it.
