    A scanner for £30 from ALDI

    yes, it's cheap
    yes, it looks like it's a webcam in a box with an illuminated screen at the bottom
    yes it works.

    no, of course it's not great quality, I'd expect to pay £1000s for good quality
    no, most of my negatives aren't worth that!
    lots of scratches, cinch marks form over-winding, dust in the camera, or in development
    I wasn't too careful as a teenager.

    But worth spending a few evenings getting them scanned at this low resolution.
    So I can pick ones to get scanned properly later.

    That reminds me...I've loads of old negatives I ought to get round to scanning but seems so tedious on my flatbed scanner.

    Is the Aldi scanner a specific film scanner?
