A road less traveled . . .

The weather was nice today in Mississippi (78 degrees). Perfect for the out doors so I grabbed my trusty Fuji S9000 and headed south then west on State Route 28. Found a couple of things worthy of a better photographer than I am, but I took a couple of shots anyway. I thought they would look good in B&W rather than color.

Here they are ... what do you think?

Great pictures. I really like the composition in the first two, but I think that the sky in the second one looks a little over processed.

Several of them have incredible potential if you were to return and shoot them in a different way. They seem a bit soft to me, so I am thinking that you need to use a tripod here. Perhaps a red filter and/or polarizer also to really make them look crazy.

My favorite is that chimney and big tree shot. Seems eerie..

You are right Shooter Tiff ... In the second picture, there were high tension lines runing thru the sky. I didn't do a very good job of removing them (still trying to learn photo editing),

GB ... It was late in the afternoon and the sun was popping in and out of the clouds. Yep, they are a little flat.
