    Remembering

Three friends and myself rode our bikes to Washington DC this past weekend for the Memorial Day Ride to the wall. I can't describe the feelings felt while walking past the wall. I wonder what these past soldiers were thinking while standing, and looking at names of fallen friends.
The Vietnam Wall Memorial seems different from the other war Memorials with the names written on it, gives it somehow a more real, or personal feel. I was a small boy when these guys were fighting this war. I remember getting letters from my Uncle, in Country. He was wounded and earned a Purple Heart. Thankfully he got to come home, so many didn't.
I wonder what the Gulf War Memorial will be like in 40 years. Remember our soldiers fighting there now.
