    a recent discovery for equipment

well, i'll share my discovery with you guys. if you're looking for support/lighting equipment, a site to check out is amvona.com. they're a wholesale outlet, and they really have some quality products, for much less than you would pay otherwise. if you're into the whole brand name thing, then they're not for you, but if you want to get some high quality stuff for a lot less than list, then check them out. I ordered a lightstand from them on ebay, and plan to get a couple more, then a new tripod from them this winter. Just something to check out. their lighting stuff is also quite cheap (umbrellas and the sort).

Yes, they usually have very good prices on items including seamless paper if you can wait for it to be shipped (my impatience as in I need it now).

As I recall they have also had good prices on table top equipment (light tables, shooting boxes, and the like) plus other accessories. I bought a posing stool from them in the past year and I think they are where I purchased a tripod head, quick release/handi grip variety.

    Thanks for posting this one!

I got a camera bag from them which seems to be very good quality. Only wish I'd ordered a bigger one.

Yeah, discovered them a while back. They have a nice selection of very decent quality budget hand-painted muslin bg's. The "sample" photos don't always match the actual item exactly (as you would expect), but overall I'm real pleased with the goods for the price...

Haven't taken a look at their other photo gear, but they seem to have widened their selection a great deal in the past couple of years. I'm sure there are bargains to be had...
