    Protection

So, going on vacation next week to the Texas Coast.

And I am a little afraid to take my Canon 50D and array of lenses.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to protect my equipment from the salt air and other beach hazzards?

I would use a UV filter, keep the camera in a bag unless you are using it and watch for fast temperature changes. Leave it in the bag when you get back to the hotel and let it cool down slowly. Also watch out for going the other way, if you leave a cold room into blistering hot your camera will fog up. I also wouldn't leave it in a hot car all day.
DSLRs take much more abuse than we all give them credit for.
Try and change your lens in a dust free environment and not on the beach unless you have no choice. Have fun and down let the stress of damaging the camera ruin your good time. Remember what you bought it for, have fun....
