    Prom pictures. :)

Well it was my senior prom this past weekend and I took some shots of my girlfriend and I before we left. It was a lot of fun. Just have graduation to do next and I'll finally be finished with high school. Now onto college.

I just used the timer and a tripod for the shots of both of us and the ones of her I shot with the camera held in hand. Used my new Sigma 30mm F/1.4 for the shots. I can't praise this lens enough! I like the inside shots a lot. The ones taken outside were alright. It was 95f outside and the sun was directly hitting us. Plenty of squinting going on there. Still dont know how to take those shots right. I suppose stick the subject in the shade.. lol..

    Anyway.. the shots!

    Thanks for looking!
    -Mike

Looks like you had some gorgeous light and a nice light house to shoot these.
You got some lovely shots using natural light and that lens looks like it takes some great pictures.
    TFS

Very good shots for a DIY. The inside shots are very good. For the outside lighting you dealt with those came out super as well.

Hey you guys are looking GOOD! My senior prom pictures looked more like the ones in Back to the Future or Betty Sue Got Married. All kidding aside you did a super job with your pre-prom photos. I think the flash cubes on my Kodak Instamatic misfired on mine. Hope your date appreciates what a fine photographer you are.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

    Hi Speeding Sphere,
Great set. I was recently asked to do the same, but my set didn't come out as good as yours. I was able to get them to an acceptable level with some new post processing techniques I have been playing with. I applied some of the same techniques to one of your pics. I think it came out pretty neat. Wanna see it?

Here it is. Like I said, it's a new technique that I'm just starting to learn. There's a few things that need bit of tweaking in the future. But, when it's perfected, I think the effect is awesome. I still have a lot to learn.
