    The Pod?

Does anyone use The Pod? I'm thinking about getting one for my E-510. I like the idea of getting lower than my tripod allows.

Here is what I am wondering, they sell offset and center bolt models. I'm leaning towards the offset for my longer lenses, but wonder what will happen when I use my shorter lenses on this set up.
Anyone ever use one backwards? That is mount the camera to it and let the lens hang off the back?

Never heard of it until you posted your question. Looked up their site http://www.thepod.ca/index.html and it looks to be a useful item. Can't answer about center or offset or backwards but if you go to their q&a there's a place to email any questions you have.
When/if you get one, let us know how well it works.

Well I just ordered one from B&H, for $20 I figured it may be a better bet than a standard bean bag.
I'll post a review after I shoot with it a bit.

I have one and absolutely love it. I've been meaning to do a short review of it for our articles section. It's especially great when you want to pull over, jump out of the car and shoot with big lenses. Works great on the roof of the car, fence posts, etc.
