    The Pitt

Ah yes, Pittsburgh, PA. I'll admit even after playing the Pitt expansion pack for Fallout 3 I've wanted to check out Pittsburgh, plus the whole history thing surrounding Point State Park. So I made a point to visit the city as the first stop on my 8 hour drive on my way to TN/NC for my fall vacation. And I discovered a really nice downtown to wander around, with the perfect blend of old and new, built up and decay to tickle my photographic fancy.

Ah yes! Pittsburgh! It's been over 15 years since I drove through Pittsburgh. It's an amazing city if you're looking for the old and new all in one place. I used to live in Youngstown, Ohio - the "partner" of Pittsburgh Steel. I believe they were the biggest steel cities in the US. Many people made a lot of money in those days. Not so now - but there are still some old steel mills around.

You captured the "spirit" of Pittsburgh - and brought back some good memories. Thanks for sharing!

These are excellent photos. They seem to be even bigger than their resolution. I guess it's because there is so much detail in each. Whatever lenses you're using, they are excellent.

That's what's fun, this is the kit lens, the 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 lens that came with the camera.
