    Pictures Place at Fair

I entered six pictures in the fair this year and three placed. Busted Windows took first place in the scenic, black and white, Coconuts Ice Cream took first place in still life, color and Mid Day Hayfield took second place in scenic, color. Thanks once again to all of you great photogs here at PR that take the time to make me a better photographer, and also to the people behind the scenes here at PR that make this place possible.

Congrats Greg. Your photos of deserving of the honor.

This year was the first time ever I viewed the photos at our fair. Wow, it's a place I'm sure we all could spend hours looking.

    Congrats again!

Congratulations Greg. All 3 are fine images. They're all different - I really like the first one - you have a good eye for composition and framing....and b&w makes it perfect. Each of them is worthy of the honor. I especially like the lighting on the 3rd.

    Thanks for sharing them here.

How'd I miss this yesterday? Congrats, nice work!

Question on the second one - is it a multiple/blended exposure? Usually IME the sign would be blown out in a situation like that. Nothing wrong with doing it that way, and it obviously works - just curious.

This is not a multi exposure. It took three trips to get the Coconuts shot. I wound up using a grad filter and a little PPing to get it. I shot it from every angle and this one is the only one that worked out.
