    Picking A Telescope

From my posts on meteor showers, eclipses, and other astonomy postings, I gather that there are a few fellow amatuer astronomers out there. For those that might be considering getting a telescope at some time in the future, here are a couple of articles for your consideration. I like one point that the first article makes: size matters!

Just like photography, you should always buy the best you can afford. If you can afford a starter scope, then get a starter scope. If you can afford a Celestron C8, then get a C8.

I thought you were supposed to grind your own mirror. That and a couple of tons of cement and you are ready to go with a private observatory!
