I recently purchased a D50 to spark my long desire to be be photographer. My goal is to be able comprehend digital camera rules and techniques and apply that to manually control and operate the machine.

This is a great place to learn the ins and outs of photography. Be sure to post some of those images in Critique, and the learning will begin.

When I joined PR, I found out how much I didn't know about photoghraphy! ;-)

BTW, you obviously have great taste, being a Nikon owner!
