    Smile Photo story: Mushaisa

    Hello,
I'd like your opinion on a recent photo project that I recently finished with a friend.

Last December, we travelled to La Guajira, Colombia on a journey to discover the effect of the world's largest open-pit coal mine.
Because of the mine’s activities and expansion, the people living around the mine, the harbour and the 150km rail tracks joining them live in deplorable conditions.
In this remote region of Colombia, we’ve witnessed:

    • Forced displacements of Indigenous and Afro-Colombian communities

    • Deteriorating living conditions in communities surrounding the mine’s activities
    • Deteriorating general health and serious environmental pollution

You can see more of the project on www.mushaisa.info

    Thanks for your support.
