    Perseids?

Okay, the first shot was about 45 seconds, the second one i had set on bulb and ran to the bathroom lol then i forgot about it and it kind of sat outside for several minutes, on the lanie of my room in Oahu. This occured at 9:00 PM pacific time. So, what do you think I caught in this pacific sky?

Your first shot caught two earth orbiting satelites. The one with the "spots" in it was from the satelite tumbling/spinning. Apparently, it is a good size one, or very highly reflective.

If you look closely, it looks the one on the left also has "spots", but they are much dimmer and spaced farther apart.

In the lower right hand corner of your second one, it looks like you caught a meteor.

    Congratulations!

Thanks! I can't wait to see what i catch tonight! Of course, this morning at 5 AM i was shooting and the moment i closed the shutter, i saw a shooting star! I was shooting with the bulb for manual control. I took some gorgeous shots around the island today - can't wait to post them!

The Upper Right Quadrant of the first photo might make a cool photo by itself. Call it something like Illuminated Satellite.

I want Hawaii pics! Take an outrigger ride for me!

    Easy. Experience.

I've done enough astrophotography that I have captured satelites and aircraft during some of my exposures. I can tell the difference. Believe me, those are satelite tracks on her first image.
