They've upgraded the magnitude from 8.2 to 8.7, and there are reports of a small tsunami moving south somewhere.

Kelly, have you ever read John Wesley's The Cause and Cure for Earthquakes? If not you can easily find it on the web. What you read in there makes these modern earthquakes sound like little tremblors.
