    OP & Pop Photo readers/subscribers

Last week one of our dogs destroyed one of my photo mags. I was sure it was the newest issue of Popular Photography, but after stopping at the store to replace it, I realized that I still have the issue that is available at the news stand. According to the pop photo website, the issue that I have is the current issue. So now I'm thinking it must have been an issue of Outdoor Photographer. I have the Dec 2005 issue with all the snow covered pine trees on it, and I have the February 2006 issue with the moose on the cover. That leads me to believe that I'm missing the January 2006 issue of OP. I went to the OP website, and they say that the current issue is the one with the moose on the cover, but they refer to it as the January/February 2006 issue... So is there a regular January issue of OP? Have the March 2006 issues for either of these mags been sent to subscribers yet?

Re: OP & Pop Photo readers/subscribers

The newest pop photo that I just got(Michelle got me it just recently) is the one with the SONY R1 on the cover, but that is my first and only issue delivered so far.

I can't find an issue between december 05 and feb 06 in OP either!

Find out which one it is by finding a corner page with writing on it and reading the date if you can. not all pages of OP have the issue date, but alot do ;) POP PHOTO is formatted differently and the pages and spine are flimsier ;)

The issue info is on the spine of the mag too ;)

Thanks for the advice Paul, but we tossed the mag out last week. The Pop Photo mag with the Sony R1 is the last one I got too.

    Hey Michael,

Outdoor Photographer only has 10 or 11 issues per year. (I can't remember which it is though.)

I'll check my back issues tonight and let you know if the January issue is a stand alone issue, or if it is a combined January/February issue.

    Cool Update

There was not a January issue of Outdoor Photographer. I have September, October, November, December and February in my magazine holder.

Also, Outdoor Photographer publishes 11 issues a year. January is the month they skip.

Now you know that much more then you did yesterday.

    Re: Update

Thanks for checking Speed. I have all of those so who knows what the dog ate. Unless it was a March issue that hasn't hit the news stands yet, I have no clue what it was... Oh well...

    I figured it out!

I was at the store this afternoon and saw the March issue of Pop Photo on the stand. Once I saw the cover, I knew that was the mag the dog destroyed. I remember wanting to read it because it had 7 Photoshop tips in it on the cover. It's been replaced and all is well again.

    I got it though ;)

No joke, I sent mail from my post office 5 times in the last year(dropped it in the box outside) and it never got there or returned to me! I don't use my town's mail boxes anymore!

Re: OP & Pop Photo readers/subscribers

My girlfriend has had that happen a few times at our place too. She has mailed stuff out, from our house, with the correct postage and address. That day the letter or bill is gone, like it should be. The next day, it shows up in our mailbox again... It was never postmarked or anything, no notes on it saying why it was returned. She put it in the mailbox again the next day, and they take it like they're supposed to. She didn't change anything about it.
