NYC 4.4.09 - UFPJ Rally/March/Protest

Today's UFPJ rally/march/protest took a cue from MLK's "Beyond Vietnam"speech as today we still "struggle with racism, extreme materialism, and militarism." (Paraphrased from some organizational literature.) Here are some photos from the various phases of today. My Holga series is more concentrated on economic protest imagery, but I tried to cover everything else with my digital. Anything I took today was battling 50mph wind gusts! At least it wasn't pouring rain like yesterday. Thanks for looking.

There was a coinciding rally (different organization) near Wall St. which joined the march past the stock exchange.

...and then they filed past the New York Stock Exchange. I wish the sign held up by pitchforks could be read, but like I wrote - 50mph wind gusts! It was all they could do to hold it up. It's super windy downtown as it is.
