'Along Meer's Street' is a fantastic image Warren. Real timeless feel to it.

Better late than never? Two from Duluth MN about two months ago. The second is using auto white balance and uncorrected (not that the other one was too far off). The yellow background is actually the overcast sky with city lights reflected off it.

Just because they were taken at night, doesn't mean they have to look like they were. The first image was taken Sunday morning at 4:18. The second, about 2 hours later. Both are 10 minute exposures using moon light.

    Re: Night Time Work

I haven't done much shooting at night (if you don't count football), but did venture out one night when we were snowed in. Nothing spectacular, but it's a start.

    Greg,

I love those nighttime shots of the construction equipment! I haven't looked through the entire thread yet so forgive me if I ask a question you've already answered but what was the primary light source? The moon? Or something else?

I took this one last weekend.

    Re: Night Time Work

Thank Troy. I would say half moon and half street lighting. There are some street lights helping here but they are across the highway and some distance from where I am shooting. It is dark enough that the camera will not AF and I need a flashlight to set the camera up. This is a 60sec exposure at 100iso.

After Midnight ... The Yarra River, Melbourne. The stunning view that greets after you have done your dosh in the Crown Casino.

There has to be some compensation, hey?
