    Nice place

An interesting house in Joshua Tree, Ca. Built right into its surroundings.

Color's a bit off on some of these. There was a lot of changing conditions due to moving clouds etc.

Thats pretty sweet. Know anything more about it or just a random house you stumbled upon?

    Re: Nice place

    Ag --

To me it looks like a Frank Lloyd Wright style house of blending into the surroundings.

I don't know much about it. I originally stumbled across it about 5 yrs ago while cruising around the back streets of Joshua Tree. It goes right up to the edge of the park so I snapped some shots from the park area (you obviously don't want to be trespassing on someone's property, snapping photos..) and a woman did come out and ask me what I was doing. We chatted a bit, she said they had been working on it for awhile, were just finishing it up. She was a little uneasy with my picture taking (things are a little weird out in the desert). I was curious how much it cost to build, but my indirect questions on that were ignored by her, so we left it at that. I wish I could see the inside.

Frog - To me it looks like a Visitor's Center. It could probably move to Seattle and fit right in! Check out the Google Maps birds eye view:
