    Sounds great!...
There are so many great restaurants in NYC that could be patronized with a smaller group. Wahooo!

So now, that Saturday group is:

    Penny & Gene
    Me
    Rick
    JoeMags

    Groovy baby!

    Hey Paul
Right near the Meadowlands. I live about ten minutes from the sports complex. I know the other areas you mentioned very well though. I used to live in West Milford, next door to Greenwood Lake. That is a beautiful part of the state.

Anyway, sorry I'll be missing you Saturday. Maybe the next gathering though.

    Take Care,
    Joe Mags

    Trying to change my schedule.....
so that I can make it for Saturday ferry and dinner. I'm still working on it - not 100% yet. :) Is it too late?

    Sorry, Liz!
    It's <i>too late</i> to join us. We're already full!

LOL just kidding. I've been curious about meeting you for years.

    It would be my pleasure!

    Thanks Rick.......
    that's encouraging!

One question - I won't have time to do any photos for the exchange. At least, I don't think I can find the time at this point (it's already Thursday eve you know).

    I was thinking 10ish.
But let's wait to hear from everyone else about a time first.

Megan, can you help me find where the ticket place is?

10am. Ticket Booth. New York City.
    I'll be there :)

Yes, I forgot to mention the print exchange: everyone we're NOT bringing prints TO New York, we're developing prints afterward and mailing/emailing them to one another so we can each have a collected scrap book of different perspectives on the our trip to the NYC.

My cell phone is 703-585-6059. I'm leaving Friday morning but I'll check here again tonight and before I leave tomorrow. It looks like it's about 7 hours to the city my mom's in :(

    See you all there!

is there a joke going on, or... well... because yesterday was WEDNESDAY! did you just get ahead of yourself?!

and my understanding of the photo exchange is that it will be pics of new york that we take and we will distribute after the trip.

Just to clarify some points so I'm in the right place
I assume that the Ticket Booth NYC is at Pier 83. Hopefully - or it could be a loooooooong walk between piers.

Also - if I'm correct, you can walk to 11th Avenue from Port Authority on 8th Avenue and be within a couple of blocks, right? I will land at Port Authority and have gone this way before. I know it's a bit of a walk, but I've done it many times - if this is the place. Just not sure of the Pier No. where I usually go to.

    What time is the ferry?

    Thanks folks.

    Have a great trip!
    Penny & Gene,

I'm sure you'll enjoy every moment in NYC. I've seen the news a few times with the Queen MaryII - awesome, just awesome. It's only here for a few days. I hope we get to see it, but if not, the ferry, etc. will be wonderful.

I'm really looking forward to meeting you. ;)

Think I missed a day........sorry for the confusion!
Yesterday (Weds) I did absolutely no work except to go to a meeting with my boss. I had a very BAD migraine & slept much of the day. I usually don't stop working when I get a migraine, but I couldn't function this time, literally. Guess I was ahead of myself when I was "awake." Even this morning I kept thinking it was Friday already.

O well.....hopefully I'll know Saturday when it gets here!

Sorry for the confusion - thanks for telling me.......

    Did you see Megan's post?
She posted a link to the Ferry's webpage:

    http://www.destinationcoupons.com/Ne...ne/cruises.asp

Yes, it's pier 83. The rest I'll have to defer to somone who lives there ;) There's coupons for $5 off the Full-Circle cruise on that website. Thanks Megan! We love ya! I just printed out 5 coupons incase anyone forgets theirs ;)

We're planning on taking the full-circle, 3 hour, 1:30pm tour. We're meeting at 10 to buy tickets early before they sell out.

Don't worry about bringing pictures, just your cameras! You'll send out (if you want) your favorite shots from the weekend to the rest of us and receive ours in the mail to complete your collection!

    Hope to see you there!

    I'm such a dork sometimes.
I'm packing for NY. I carefully lay out my camera gear, picking which bodies, lenses, film etc. I want to carrry tomorrow, I carefully stow it away in my backpack, placing my jacket on top just in case it gets cold.

I am proud of my accomplishment.

Then I realize I forgot to pack any clothes for the weekend.

I'll be leaving for NY in a half hour. Unless I forget to pack my brain :p
