I can't process the images in Lightroom because it's not supported in Lightroom 3 and I only have Windows XP so I can't use Lightroom 4.

I have to slum it and use Olympus Viewer 2.

ISO200 the metering has held the brightest highlights.
But with the default linear tone curve, it is lacking a little something.

    Re: new toy

Now with Lightroom 4.1 RC1 I've reprocessed the images.

I'm using an ultrabook running Windows 7.
Slow, 1G memory ... and it is still faster than a 3GHz 4-core desktop running Olympus viewer 2.
Instead of embracing faster and better commercial products.
Why do camera companies continue to supply slow, inefficient software of their own?

    ..
Are you sure it's an Ultrabook? All the Ultrabooks I know have 4GB of RAM. And the Core i5 processor is no slouch. And if your system has an SSD disk that helps to make it faster.

Yesterday I checked out Lightroom 4 while it was doing a conversion to JPG (Corei7 system with files on SSD). 56 threads hammering away and 8 processing units occupied but not at 100%

    Re: new toy

Not sure it meets today's ultrabook criteria - that seems to be Intel's latest marketing push?
    It's a Lenovo twistable foldable notebook/tablet thing.

It went on a flight down the road when I had my car accident.
Scratched up, but after I got all the pieces glass out of it I'm astonished it worked.
The screen surround falls off at the slightest provocation, and the touch screen is intermittent.
But the parked HD with crash protection is as good as they say.
It's going to be my sacrificial computer.
