New Quick Poll - Favorite Camera Bag Maker

I just put up a new Quick Poll. What company is makes your favorite camera cases? Or who do you think makes the best camera bags?

    Camera Bag Quick Poll >>

Feel free to add your thoughts here, too. And please also post a review for your camera bag or bags. That review section is kinda messy. I'm doing a little housecleaning in there right now.

Thanks in advance for your votes and reviews!

    Billingham wins

At the moment anyway, 100% to zero.

Am I allowed to write another review of the Billingham Hadley? I wrote the review of my black one in 2001. Since then I have added a classic khaki, a sage Hadley Pro and I just had a Hadley large for my Christmas present. In fact I could do quite a comparison because they aren't the same

If it's the same case, we can't have more than one review from you. But I love it when people write a new updated review. If you want to do that I'll be happy to remove the original review. And if you have a different Billingham case, please write a review for it!

If I had the dough, it would definitely be lightware.

Re: New Quick Poll - Favorite Camera Bag Maker

I voted for Tamrac. Currently I have more cases from them than from Lowepro.

Bags as I think of them I don't really use. I have hard cases from Halliburton and Pelican but they are storage/shipping rather than a daily user bag/case.

Personally I believe every camera should have it own dedicated case to keep it in and not just in a bag or backpack. Some of these bags and packs are every bit as good as any case ever made, but I don't need multiple backpacks. So I still need a camera case.

Tamrac at the moment holds my largest DSLR and Film bodies with a lens attached, even a 70-200mm f2.8, easily and securely.

The Hadley Pro and Hadley Large are different from the original Hadley but still quite similar. I'll write a new review in a couple of weeks when I've used the Hadley large a bit more. I have to see what exactly I can get in it. The D60 is looking lost at the moment at the bottom of this fairly large bag.

Re: New Quick Poll - Favorite Camera Bag Maker

I've only owned a few different bags, one a shoulder bag from Tamrac which seemed very good but way too small for most of my gear. It might make a good light bag for a camera and small lens and a 580EXll. I had a Joe Farace back back bag from Adorama which was inexpensive and fairly large enough to hold quite a bit, but the shoulder strap started ripping away on it after just a year of use. i now use it as a lighting accessory bag.
I recently purchased a Lowepro backpack type bag which is pretty amazing in durability and attention to detail. This thing is reinforced all over and built tough and i'm pretty confident its gonna be a round for quite a while.
I'll write a review about it now that I've had it for a bit.

Re: New Quick Poll - Favorite Camera Bag Maker

I have voted and here are my bags. I do like my lowepro bags. I have 2, main bag is a Mini trekker AW, that can handle 2 bodies , 3 lenses and 2 flashes. If I am going shooting and need to do any thing with a PC and work on the pictures I take my Compu Trekker Plus AW that can handle more gear and take my laptop in the same bag. When it isn't being used it stores the other gear. Mini trekker first shot, compu trekker second shot
PJ I just did a review for the Mini since there wasn't one posted.

I have the same bags as Jimmy B. and a crumpler which takes the 17" laptop and 1 body and a couple of lenses, which I use for work.
