I don't usually carry my camera bag with me everyday because of a variety of reasons including the size of the bag and not having someplace to secure it. I've often thought I need to buy a relatively inexpensive camera that I can carry with me almost all the time and finally made an impulse buy the other day.
Being a diehard member of the Clan O'Canon (and making an unresearched purchase) I picked up a Canon Powershot A560 with a 1gb card. I haven't really had a chance to put it to an extensive test but did take it to an evening college football game to see what I could get.
I have determined that I need to read the manual but poking around the menu I figured out enough to get some decent snapshots and whet my apetite to see what else I can make it do.
Here's my son and Rocky, the WIU Leathernecks mascot before the game.
Check out my son's excitement at the game. This was his first taste of college football and I'm pretty sure he had a good time!
This last one was a high iso shot. Not bad shooting from close to the top of the stands at the 50 yard line.
After I test it's capabilities (and mine) I'll post a review since it's unreviewed here.
