    Cullmann compact.
Also has matching thread fitting for a clamp, sucker mount, and ball head.
Comes with a wicked spike for stuccinf in the soil, and a screw attachment for torturing fence posts and trees into holding the camera

Gitzo 1320 with center column and Gitzo ballhead 1376 magnesium. It's one of those funky ballhead where the ball is actually off-centered.

I use a bogen/manfrotto 3021pro w/the center shaft that you can change the orientation and put it horizontal for doing macro shots of flowers and other stuff. it is a little on the heavy side but I taking it on long hikes and it isn't too bad. Plus it isn't too expensive, easy to set up, really sturdy and when everything is extended it's taller than I am (that is sad)

    Re: Stands

a walmart cheapie I got for Christmas one year. And the crank-turny thing that extends the neck broke, so it doesn't extend anymore. But I use it like twice a year, so it's no big deal.

    Re: Stands

Sorry, I've been working, and then off to visit friends the other side of London yesterday.
Having a life is a terrible thing, takes time away from this forum

I see in another thread someone found the set at a US dealer.
My wife found it for only £35 in the UK, the store only had one left and was desperate to sell it !
Must be the only time we bought something at less than the $$ price

Do you still need my photos ?
