    I just can't stop...

Even at Saturday's Chicago Fire game I couldn't stop taking pictures.

Rhianna and I took my dad downtown for the game as his father's day present. We all had a blast, it was a great game.

It was my first time in Soldier Field, and I was impressed by the way it was designed, even though I had no comparison tot he old one as I've never been there. The sun was setting and the clouds were rolling in, and I really wanted to capture the feel of being there. Did I come close?

How to tell the most experienced shooter in a group? They have the least amount of toys on them.

    First off, congrads on:

    A) Hitting the big 1,000!
    B) Being a moderator. (Can you spell h-a-z-i-n-g )

Good shot, but it looks like it's tilted a little. Maybe it's me, but the right side looks about a degree or two high. Good color balance under not ideal lighting circumstances, was it a RAW or custom WB?

    Unhappy This Is It?

This is what you post for the BIG ONE? Number 1000?!!

Don't get me wrong, I think it's a great shot. A little tilted, but great colors, DOF, and you definitely caught the expansiveness of the place. But.....

I was really hoping/expecting for a zinger. One of those "WOW!!! Can you believe this?!!" shots. I'm crushed. I'm devastated. Oh the pain, the misery, the disappointment!

You do know I'm yanking your chain buddy? If I didn't give you a hard time, you'd wonder what was wrong with me! :-O

Congratulations on hitting the big 1000!

And I guess this shot will do...

RAW, daylight WB. Those lights are REALLY close to daylight, I just seamlessly left it on that setting from day to night. The shot is actually level, the structure bends around and it comes up higher on the right in this shot. With a wide like this it's tough to judge due to all the converging lines, but I went by the horizontal line of the far end of the field, and the buildings in the skyline.

I think they must have designed the lower level of Soldier Field much better than the upper level. I was at their opening game (Bears-Packers) last fall, and we were stuck in a bottleneck for 45 minutes (!!!) trying to get up the ramp to our seats upstairs. Once up there, I think there were only two ladies restrooms on the whole level.

I *lurve* the color of the sky in this shot! I love all the colors but the sky is perfect.

    Cool Congratulations Sebastian!

on your official moderator status. You've helped me a great deal many times, and always seem to have the right answer for so many diversified questions people ask. You have a lot of knowledge and information about the many aspects of photography today. Digital Cameras and The Digital Cameras forum in general is fast moving today, and would be a challenge for anyone. You're the perfect person.

Your photo: I really like this shot. What lens did you use? I love the way you were able to fit everything in - especially the clouds in the background. I think you got what you were looking for.

Dunno, might just be that it was a Bears-Packers game. They are usually packed, and no matter how well designed, a stadium is going to be hurtin under such load.

Bathrooms, everywhere there are twice as many as in the old stadium, so count your blessings.

Thanks for the kind words on the image, I appreciate it.

Thank you so much Liz, your words are encouraging. The lens was the 17-40 at 17mm. I think I took in a bit too much sky trying to get the wide view. And with few clouds it made it a bit uninteresting, but a crop helped and made it better IMO with the panoramic dimensions. I think.
