Talking My Rebel XT is at B&H

I'm so psyched - I had to share the good news with all my friends on VF. I just spoke to B&H. They have received the new shipment they assured me that mine would ship out in the next day or 2. This is such a popular camera, that I was afraid they might not get enough to go around - and that someone would buy the last one in the store.

However, I already paid for it - so he said "you will get your camera first."

    Mine is black btw. ;)

I'll be sure to post my first photo here!

That is wonderful news!! Can't wait to see some new images from you. Be sure and get a picture of it up in the camera family thread so we can all have a look.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

Now that's a great idea! Thanks! I can shoot the pic with my Digi Rebel before it leaves home for good! ;)

These images are on the Canon/Japan website - the best I've seen. Pretty Cool!

    Help

Someone please please give me a reason not to cancel my order at Amazon.com (Delivery estimate: April 4, 2005 - April 18, 2005) and reorder with overnight shipping from B&H. I could use it for a back up for the wedding I have this weekend.

Okay it's been more than thirty minutes, no reasons not to ordered and well I'm weak. I canceled the Amazon.com order since the arrival date would be in April and ordered from B&H. I can use this as second camera for the wedding I am doing this weekend (afraid to use a camera I never used beford as my main). I am so ready for my first DSLR

    Talking Congratulations!

I think you made the right decision! Mine is being shipped today and I'll get it tomorrow - because I live in NJ and I always get my shipments from B&H overnight - without paying for them. ;)

I don't think you'll be disappointed. Please post some pics!!!!!!!

Make sure you have at least 2 GB of cards for photos. You may find that you'll shoot more with the xt than with your main camera
The first time I shot a wedding with digital, it was with the now ancient D30. It was supposed to be my backup to the 1V, but I ended up shooting the entire wedding with the D30. Have fun, post some pics too. ;)

Re: My Rebel XT is at B&H

I have a 1GB Lexar that arrived last week along with the 126MB I use for my A75. I just got the email for B&H that my XT has shipped so it should be here tomorrow. I can't wait to try it out. My friends just think I take lots of photos of their kids now just wait.

    Good Job

Thanks Danielle. I'm really looking forward to seeing you - and the rest of the gang.

By then I hope I know how to work the XT! ;)

Re: My Rebel XT is at B&H

Thanks for the advice! Yes, I have a bunch of 256 cards and one 512! I'm already scheduling more time for photography - and my new XT is my excuse.

Good for you! I'm looking forward to seeing some pics of that wedding.

I finally got my tracking number - I'm getting it tomorrow.

    Unhappy Guess who missed UPS!

    YIKES!

My XT was shipped yesterday! It always arrives (NJ) the next day. UPS has never come before the evening - usually around 7 pm. I left the house for a couple of hours - BUT I asked someone to listen for the door.

Well, for the first time ever UPS came in the morning 10:00 a.m. and the person listening for the door - went down to do her laundry.

You know what! I'm supposed to work today........big time overwhelmed. So I guess tomorrow will be a better day! My camera will be back home then. So, the story ends well!
