    My last engagement session

So much for a nice, lazy vacation! My wife & I had planned a trip to visit my family in UT for a few months now, and about a month ago I got an inquiry about photographing the wedding of a friend of a friend. Well it turns out that the best (and only) chance to do the engagement photos was while I was out in UT visiting. So my friend & I met up with Mallory & Shawn in Provo, UT for their engagement session. They were a blast to work with, and I'm really stoked about their wedding in December.

Comments & Critiques are more than welcome. I've realized my background as a sports shooter can be a slight hindrance, as I'm used to "filling the frame" and need to work more negative space into my images.

    15. Her mom & younger sister sorta hung out with us during the shoot. So I had to use them in at least one picture.

I didn't see them earlier but I see them now. The images are actually hosted on his web site so I guess they weren't accessible this morning

Yep, see them now. These are all very nice. In # 3 I believe I would fix the fingernails in PP - it's hard to tell from such a small image but it looks like her nails have grown out considerably since the last paint job, and my eye was drawn to it almost instantly in this shot, as it looks odd. Not crazy about # 5 having so much negative space and so little of the couple either, but that's it for nit-picks. Very nice work!

I see them and they're cute photos which I think fits for engagement shots.
The one thing I noticed right off the bat though was with the first photo and the railing sticking out of his head

Nice work Scott. I love the fun shot at the end.

    Re: My last engagement session

#5 is my least favorite. I agree with the negative space, and lack of much of the couple. I didn't notice the nail polish until someone else pointed it out, but it is a distraction. I will keep that in mind if I ever have to do any shots similar to these.
