    my first roll.

i didnt post these in the critique forum because thats not what i want.. i take pictures for fun, and now that i have this camera (which ive fallen in love with in the last two days) i can take neat photos.. not to mention that i LOVE the way 35mm film photos look, no matter what theyre of. anyway, these are some of my favorites. some just because, and some because of their actual "photographic value" i guess you could say. haha.

my friend kayla at the skateshop we work at.

my friend pat (the owner). i think i like this because he looks awesome. trying hard not to laugh.

quick "self portrait" before i had to leave. my hands look enormous.

    ....."silly" picture.

the following are all near my house.

i fell in love with moss, and shallow DOFs.

old shed in the back yard. man, do i ever love moss.

the other shed that we actually use. crab pots, fishing gear, etc.

im not sure that i really like this, but ill post it anyway.

Old-School SLRs! An excellent start. What sort of camera is it?

He posted in Help recently - think it was a Pentax ME Super (or am I thinking of someone else...).

You're off to a great start! About taking notes - it's a good idea to carry a little notebook in your camera bag so you can write down settings and how you did something - things you'll forget by the time you get the film back. I was never good at this, and just writing down settings doesn't often mean much. Sure, you can learn what shutter speed is best for bluring something that moves a certain speed, but those settings depended on the light that you had at that moment. The same situation next week with slightly different light will need different settings. Writing down how you came to those settings would be a good thing to have so you can think about that while looking at your results.

Welcome! You have a good eye for still life, I think you can really go far in that area if you want!

I will also welcome you personally to the small but tight-knit film-users club here on pr. Most folks have either gone 100% digital or have a small p&s digital they use for snap shotting (like me.) It's nice to see another lover of film!
