I've made some lofty goals this year for both my commercial and gallery work, and things are getting off to a very good start. I was approached two weeks ago by the city of Tavares, Florida to be part of their first group show of the year, entitled International Intrigue.
The show opens today, and features my Destination: China series of 18 digitally enhanced photographs (http://www.photoasylum.com/dest_thumbs.html) as well as the work of three other artists.
In case any of you noticed me a bit absent here the last couple of weeks, (besides the holidays) it's because I've been busting my butt trying to get the work ready on such short notice.
Anyway, there is an opening reception tonight from 5-7pm at the City of Tavares City Hall, 201 East Main Street, Tavares Florida 32778 which will feature food, music, and...well... ME!
The show will run through February 10th, so if any of you are in the neighborhood (about an hour's drive north of Disney), you're more than welcome to stop by. Let me know you're in the area, and I'll be more than happy to hang with ya.
BTW, the Orlando Sentinel (newspaper) featured an nice feature on the show today on the front page of the local section, including a 1/3 page shot of one of my pieces on page three...
