    My dad...

    The most important man in my life is right now undergoing emergency surgery to have his appendix removed. Last night he came home from work not feeling well, and today my mother took him in to the E.R.. I know this is just a routine procedure, but to me he might aswell be having open heart surgery. My world feels on the brink. He is so important in my life. I love him so much. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

    Oh John. {{{HUGS}}}
    I think it's probably harder for the people watching him go through it, than for your Dad himself. You are ALL in my thoughts and prayers.
    I hope your Dad feels better soon.

    John,

    You can be assured of my prayers for your dad. I hope the surgery is over by now and that he is recovering nicely.

    BTW, your dad is a very good looking gentleman and this is a nice portrait. I remember another portrait of him that you did - and posted here quite a while back. I can't remember the details, but do remember thinking what a great job you did at the time.

    Hey guys,

    Thanks for all the well wishes and support. My dad came out of surgery last night doing fine. I talked to him this morning and he thinks he will be coming home today! He is doing well, and sounds great, and I am very much relieved.

    Thanks guys!

    That's so great, Almo! Thanks for the update.....and keep us posted. That was quick - did he have laser surgery? I have a friend who had an appendectomy via laser and made a complete recovery in a few days. Either way, coming home is awesome!

    Hey Liz!

    He is, in fact, on his way home right now with mom. He had an endoscopic surgery. So, he is a bit sore, but doing very good.

    Thanks!!! :thumbsup:

    Dad is home now, and he is looking very good. The surgery went good, but the endoscopy did not work out. The Docter said it was the worst apendix he had ever seen. So, they had to cut him open to get it out. But he is doing great. He was even able to climb the stairs!

    THANKS!
